Message from Shodog Primary School Manager

Asalamu aleykum dear students,
I am delighted to tell you that you have reached where you have already reached just by sheer dedication and hard work. I really never anticipated this kind of success in you. But no wonder that is always the reward of those who persevere.
I am anxious to know the results of your examination, which I know will bring smiles to my face. You should know that all I want is success in your future.
Trust your hearts. Don't be afraid to reach out to something new. Go ahead get your hopes up even if things turn out differently than you have imagined. By then, you will have tried, you will have learned, you never have to live with regrets. It seems to me what wears us down the most in life aren't the chances we take but the ones we don't take, the dreams we put aside, the adventure we push away. So whatever you want in life go for it and always remember no matter what, trust your God.
I urge you to study while others are sleeping, work while others are loafing, prepare while others are playing and dream while others are wishing.
I will pray for you to succeed in your examinations and wish you all the best.

Message from Abdikarim, former teacher at Shodog Primary School

As the days for your examinations nears to an end, I can assume your anxiety is big. But curiosity is an innate nature of the humans. Challenges and fears are bound to be encountered in this rocky life of the world. The road to success is lined with hardships and potholes.
What is needed is the determination and dedications to pass your exams. Armed with your year-long hard work, burning of the midnight oil and above all your trust and confidence in Allah, I can assure you that nothing can stand in your way to success.
As you know, our hope and anticipation in you all is immense. We will proudly wait for the day your exam results will be announced. We also hope you will do us great and our dreams in you won’t be shattered.
Let your whims, fancies and aspirations come true. May Allah shower you with serenity to master you on that day of examination. Fly in the plane of ambition and land in the airport of success.

Finally as you prepare for your exams, we wish you all success and all good in your forthcoming examination.

Message from Muhidin Mohamed Noor, former Headteacher of Shodog Primary School

You are coming to the last days of your primary education. But you don’t have to fear. The exams are not monsters. I do believe that you will make it.
Life is a stage where everybody is an actor and each is to play a role. Some of you might have not been doing well in the course of your studies. But you should all know that success is an action and seems to be connected with actions. Successful people keep moving. They make mistakes but they don’t quit.
I urge you to be good people who will later help their people and their country in the foreseeable future. Many people will be dependent on you. Many people are looking up to you. You should not break the hearts of those who love and like you.
We wish you success and salvation in your coming examinations.

Message from Dahir Hilowle, current headteacher at Shodog Primary School

This is a tough time of your life which will give you a test to determine your path. Your fate entirely lies on the outcome of the examinations.
There is possibility that you will encounter fear and uneasiness during this time. But that is inevitable. Those are just like mirages that will pass away. Your faith in yourself is what counts most and obviously your hard work.
I know you need all the motivation you can get at this time. We pray for you to pass with flying colours in this examination.
You also need to pray to Allah to make you pass with ease. We wish you all success in your examination.

The enemy of peace is war.
The enemy of the religion are hypocrites.

Importance of education

Education is very good because if you are ignorant person you will see many problems and you can’t solve your problems because you are like a blind person. This means you are lacking light and that is knowledge. If you are educated person you can even sometimes know what will happen to you with the Will of Allah. There is a proverb which says to educating a girl is like educating a nation. It is true because a girl is the mother in future and a mother is the factory of the human beings. I advise you to listen carefully to what the teachers say because teachers do not say bad things. A person who will succeed in this world is an educated person because an ignorant has no line to be registered in this world. If you see a person who is patient, know that that person is an educated person. Therefore education is sweeter than honey.

Reading and revising

When you are a student, it is compulsory to you to read your lessons because reading has uncountable advantages. First, reading will make you a bright student and therefore you can able to answer questions. Second, reading increases your ability to speak a language. Therefore, if you are a student you must read and revise your books.

Importance of education

I want to talk about our education. First and foremost, a person who learnt something and a person who do not know something are not at the same point because the learned person is like a live person while unlearned person is like a dead person. A person who learnt something is better than an ignorant one because the learned can benefit the people. An ignorant person will say to you “put the pen down and take the gun”, it means they don’t know that the pen is mightier than a sword. Sometimes while you are going to school you will meet people, they will ask u where you are going. If you say I’m going to school, they will say to you why don’t u marry so that you get children because you are too old to learn. I advise you not to take such advices from such ignorant persons.

Our school

I go to Shodog primary school in Hudur. It is a stone building school. There are ten classrooms, two offices, one store, two water tanks, and six toilets. At the back of the offices there is a big playing ground.
Our head teacher is Mr. Dahir Hilowle (USTADH-DAHIR) and the deputy head teacher is Mr. Abdirahman Jelle. There are six teachers for ten classes, all our teachers are gent, and the name of our class master is Mr. Dahir.
There are two hundred and above pupils in our school. In my class, there are forty eight students. Out of that, twenty four are boys and twenty four are girls. We learn many different subjects at school but English, Kiswahili and Mathematics are taught everyday. My favourite subject is English.
Twice a week, we play games at school. I like net ball though it was totally banned from our school currently.

Importance of Education

Education has an importance in the society. Without education life is bitter. If you do not learn something you will become a porter. Education is the pillar of a nation.
In this world depend on education because education can help you in many ways in your life. Education is the key of life.
Education helps people to become useful members of the society but if you want to learn something you must make more efforts and work hard.

Money and Knowledge

It goes with saying money is more beneficial than knowledge although many people claim that knowledge is better than money. If I try to prove this point to you, I can simply say the reason that everybody is struggling and perspiring is hope of earning money.
When you have sufficient money you can be joyful and contented and you can live comfortable life but you cannot be cheerful when you are stony broke, you are miserable and depressed.
In the absence of money, life is bitter and boring because you are lacking the necessities of life such as food to eat, clothes to wear and place to sleep. Thus, you will be a vagrant.

Muslims work in Mosques

Mosque is the best place on earth. The first mosque to be built by our holy prophet Muhammed (Peace be upon him) was Masjidu Quba’a, which is in Medina. Muslims go to a mosque to perform various ibadah like:-

  • Performing both Fardh and Sunnah swalah
  • reciting the holy Qur'an
  • listening to sermons (Khutbah).
  • Conducting marriages if needed
  • Learning Qur'an,Hadith,Fiqh e.t.c
Saying supplications{dua'a}and different types of worships can draw one near to Allah.

Respect

Respect is a duty to everybody in this world. Without respect nothing will go smooth in this world. If we respect each other we will love each other in the highest degree and can live together in a comfortable life.
We should all try our best to respect each other. So we should respect our teachers, parents and our fellow colleagues.

Importance of time

As every one of us knows, time is like money because time is as important as money. To waste your precious time aimlessly is like spending your valuable money foolishly and to utilize your dear time wisely is like investing your expensive money in a useful project that will give you substantial profit.
If you want to succeed in life, try to utilize your time well but if you neglect your time, you must know that you will fail in life and regret.

Visiting the sick

My friend was not in school. I found out that she was sick. So I went to visit her. I chose the right time to visit her and I took some presents to her. A present makes the sick happy and I prayed for her and said the dua.

Rights of teachers

I respect and obey my teachers. I listen carefully when they explain anything. I ask them if I don’t know something. I greet my teachers when I’m in and out the school. I help them with their work. I ask my teachers to forgive me if I do something wrong.

Rights of children

There are many things that children need in order to grow well. Children need to be treated and loved. Shelter and education should be provided to them. They should be avoided against child abuse. Children should be avoided against child labour, that is, children working in favour of money for their parents. They should be advised against drugs and drug abuse. Girls should be avoided against early marriages.

Importance of Friday

Friday is an important day for Muslims. It is a great and noble day. The prophet tells us about its important “The sun has not risen on a day better than Friday. On it Adam (peace be upon him) was created, on it he was admitted into paradise, and on it he was expelled from it. The hour(Judgement Day)will not be established except on Friday”
The prophet tells us that there is a blessed hour in Friday during which Allah grants the du’a (supplication) of any person who prays to Him, provided that what he is asking for is good and beneficial to him according to Allah.

Importance of education

Education is the most important thing in the world. Education is the key of life, even it has a great important in Islam. It shows us the difference between right things and wrong things. Ignorant people do not know what is wrong and what is right. They are like animals. So it is never too old to learn.
One of the great scholars said, “Learn from cradle to grave”. So let's wake up from sleeping and learn something because education is the most precious thing under the sun.

Rights of children

It is important to take care of children because children have their own rights. It is good to teach children good behaviours and good morals. When we teach our children, our country develops very well.
But unfortunately, our parents today do not teach their children. They only advise them on how to look after animals. They force their girls with early marriage. Do you know why they are not teaching their children? They don't know the difference between education and ignorance. I could have encouraged the parents to stop doing that. I 'm greeting my teachers and my classmates.

Importance of education

After my greetings, today I'm eager to address a topic about education. As it is known, education is the best thing in the world. Without it, I can't imagine how the human life will be to my idea.
Education is a key of the world and if I give a short example about the difference between educated person and uneducated person, an educated person is like a person in a light house and the ignorant person is almost like a person in a dark room. So I advise my classmates and other audience to be well dedicated and adhered to learning process. Thanks

Drug abuse

Drug abuse is the usage of drugs with out an important cause. If you drink drug every now and then you will lose your mind and you can't able to do any work. Drug abuse has many ways of affecting us as individuals. Drug abuse can lead to poor health, wealth, theft and fornication. There are many types of drugs like cocaine, heroine, alcohol, tobacco etc.
Drugs like heroine cause vomiting, memory lapses. By doing this our brain cells get killed. It can lead to low education status but do you know that education is the key of a good future? Children in schools may cheat and steal money from their parents to buy drugs and they are not passing during examinations because drugs damaged their brain cells and interfered with their memory cells. This has been a big problem among the youths today.
Above all, drug abuse can lead to well known disease called Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS).If you abused drug you will be in a state of worry, felling ashamed in this world and if u die you will be in hell fire forever and ever. That is why our prophet said “If you want to do something think of its ends (effects) if the resulting effects are good then do it but if it is bad then stop it.

The duties of a student

When you are a student, you must abide by the rules of education. You must be a serious person, be punctual, be attentive to your lessons, be hard working, you must devote most of your time and energy to your learning, be obedient to your teachers etc. You must give your teachers the respect they deserve and treat them well. Teachers are like your parents and be grateful to the knowledge, warnings, wisdoms and advices that they provide you all the time. You must try to co-operate with them in their struggle to make you a civilized and a skilful person.

Remembering Allah

I am very pleased to have the opportunity to pass my idea through our website. The people worshiping Allah must have access to the knowledge of Allah. This is the knowledge that mankind is wanted to have. However remembering is obligatory on every Muslim men and women. For example some girls practise things that the religion of Islam does not allow them to do like wearing tight clothes that reveal their bodies, transparent clothes, going to the market without any purpose, using chemicals to change original colour etc.
Do you know that a girl in our society is like a mirror? Please let us not beautify our selves with lotions that change our colour. Having mobile phones and hiding from parents is another issue the girls of today have learnt, please know that Allah is seeing all that you are doing.
Dear sisters, let us always be shy and look into our words before we say. Look before you leap is a good proverb. Remember shyness is half of iman (faith). Shyness is an excellent quality that shows modesty, which serves the good purpose of preventing man from the disobedience of Allah. Besides, it keeps man free from sins.
There some boys who abuse drugs. Drugs are chemical substances that damage the functioning of our bodies. Therefore it is not good to use drugs in any way. It is always good your mouth to remain wet with the praise of Allah and remember Allah wherever you are. Finally I extend my sincere greetings to my teachers and my classmates.

2. Many cooks spoil the broth.
3. Don’t count your chickens before they hatch.
4. All that glitters is not gold.
5. Look before you leap.
6. A Satan/devil you know is better than an angel you don’t know.
7. Birds of the same feather flock together.
8. Out of sight out of mind.
9. A friend in need is a friend in deed.

Importance of knowledge

Knowledge is of great importance in Islam. The first revelation from Allah was on knowledge. Allah said to the prophet and to all Muslims:
“Read! In the name of your Rabb (Cherisher and Sustainer) Who created— created man, out of a leech-like clot: Read! And your Rabb is Most Bountiful and Generous Who has taught (the use of) pen. He has taught man that which he knew not.” (Qur’an, 96:1-5)
Imam Bukhari said, “Knowledge is before saying or doing”. He said that Allah said, “O! Prophet of Allah, Know that there is no God except Allah” (Qur’an, 47:19).
So knowledge is the most important thing in the world, because by gaining a lot of knowledge you will live in a comfortable life in the world and you will be rewarded with paradise by Allah in the hereafter. So my friends work hard in order to live in a comfortable life in the world and to enter paradise on the doomsday. Pull up your socks.
