Asalmu aleykum. I thank Allah, the almighty. All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds. May peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah, his household and companions. Islam has, from its inception, placed a high premium on education and has enjoyed a long and rich intellectual tradition. Knowledge ('ilm) occupies a significant position within Islam, as evidenced by the more than 800 references to it in Islam's most revered book, the Koran. The importance of education is repeatedly emphasized in the Koran with frequent injunctions, such as "God will exalt those of you who believe and those who have knowledge to high degrees" (58:11), "O my Lord! Increase me in knowledge" (20:114), and "As God has taught him, so let him write" (2:282). Such verses provide a forceful stimulus for the Islamic community to strive for education and learning.
Islamic education is uniquely different from other types of educational theory and practice largely because of the all-encompassing influence of the Koran. The Koran serves as a comprehensive blueprint for both the individual and society and as the primary source of knowledge. The advent of the Koran in the seventh century was quite revolutionary for the predominantly illiterate Arabian society. Arab society had enjoyed a rich oral tradition, but the Koran was considered the word of God and needed to be organically interacted with by means of reading and reciting its words. Hence, reading and writing for the purpose of accessing the full blessings of the Koran was an aspiration for most Muslims. Thus, education in Islam unequivocally derived its origins from a symbiotic relationship with religious instruction.
Education is a holistic process and continues through our life. Even the regular happenings and events around us educate us, in one or the other way. It would not be an exaggeration to say that the existence of human beings is fruitless without education
Education opens our mind and expands our horizon. It enables us to understand our duties as a citizen and encourages us to follow them. There is no denying the fact that an educated person is a better citizen.
On the most basic notes, it teaches us to differentiate between right and wrong. For most part of our lives, we falter in dichotomizing right and wrong, but the right education gives us the right answers.
Education serves as the means to bring about the desired change in society, to develop a generation of virtuous individuals and thus contribute to the development of good human beings. The fundamental purpose of education is to gain knowledge, inculcate the forms of proper conduct and acquire technical competency. Education serves as the means to develop oneself physically, mentally and socially. The importance of education to youths manifests itself in terms of the need to cultivate the youths of society into mature individuals. Education is important for the youths, as youth is their growing stage. It is the time to develop the principles of life, make career decisions and begin the pursuit of one's goals.Letter from the founder
It is a well known history that Muslims contributed to the present day technology and advancement. Muslims famous and great scientist are numerous notably Abu al-Qasim Al-zahrawi, {the great surgeon},Ibnu Sina{the great Educationist} and many more were the sole inventors and enlighteners of the modern world. As Muslims have the greatest role in bringing about the current technological manoeuvres, we see the Muslims today lagging behind as a result of their laziness and laxity. The world is meant for us to fully exploit its potential. There is no room for us to procrastinate. By holding our religion in the right hand and furthermore tightening our grip on the secular education, we are pledged to receive our part of the hard work by Allah.
I have initiated this school so that we get learned people from this region, who will be in a position to develop, to educate and to uplift the status of our community. I pray to Allah to show us the right path and to reward me for my efforts. lastly, I urge all those who are capable and with opportunities to make use of their time and learn because education is an investment in the future.
Thank You.
Wasalamullahi aleykum Warahmatuh
